Abstract

1524199 Band clamp W TUREK 5 Sept 1975 [5 Sept 1974] 36749/75 Heading E2B A band clamp 1 has an arm 2 secured at one end to a base 3 and arranged to pass around cables &c to be clamped, and on its inside, at least one resilient lamella 4. As shown, the arm 2 also has at its free end teeth 6 meshing with teeth 7 on a release key 8, a handle 9 and reinforcements 11. The base 3 may be secured to a panel by its self-adhesive coating 10, screws, nuts and bolts, a resiliently expandable stud (13, Fig. 3 not shown), a push-in foot, or to a rail (18, Fig. 4 not shown) by means of slots (17). The arm may be shaped for flat cables or cables disposed in parallel (Fig. 4 not shown). The arm may be flat or I-sectioned (Fig. 6 not shown); it may be perforated (at 20) and held by prong (23, Fig. 5 not shown) on key 8 and passed through hole (23) in key 8 or base 3 or held by a separate pin (27, Fig. 9, not shown) passing through hole (28) in key 8 and perforation (20). The arm may alternatively have an end slot (25, Fig. 8, not shown) held by pin or screw (26).
