Abstract

1,188,835. Brackets. O. W. THORSMAN. 13 Sept., 1967, No. 41748/67. Heading A4B. [Also in Division E2] A clamp for mounting a variable number of cables or ducts on a wall, ceiling or other like surface, comprises a clamping strap 1 and an adjustable limiting piece, the strap having a mounting portion 3 adapted to be fastened to the surface and an elongated tongue 6 extending from the mounting portion so as to be spaced from and generally parallel to the surface when mounted thereon and the limiting piece having a mounting portion 7 adapted to be fastened to the surface and a tongueretaining sleeve portion 10 defining an opening through which the tongue extends and by which the tongue is engaged. The sleeve portion is either arranged to have a force fit with the tongue or both it and the tongue are provided with teeth which interengage. Both of the mounting plates are provided with holes for receiving screws.
