Description
TITLE:POSITIONING CLIP FOR PLASTIC PIPE
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The invention relates to a positioning clip for plastic pipes. More particularly, the invention relates to a positioning clip for pipes, wires and cables.
A conventional clip with a through hole is shown in
FIGS. 8A to 8B. As shown in FIG. 8B, the plastic pipe is damaged while the clip is pulled out. A conventional clip with two through holes is shown in FIGS. 8C to 8D. As shown in FIG. 8D, the plastic pipe is damaged while the clip is pulled out.
An object of the invention is to provide a clip for plastic pipes in order to disassemble the clip from a plastic pipe easily.
Another object of the invention is to provide a clip for plastic pipes in order to disassemble the clip from a plastic pipe without damaging the plastic pipe.
Accordingly, a clip has the second clamp member and at least one of the first clamp members. Each of the first clamp members engages with the second clamp member.
The first clamp member has a transverse recess on the inner portion and a longitudinal hole on the outer portion. A snap fastener is disposed on the transverse recess. A flanges is disposed on at least one of the two opposite end edges of the second clamp member. Each flange has a notch thereon. The shape of the notch matches the shape of the corresponding snap fastener. Each flange is inserted in the corresponding transverse recess.
The snap fastener and the corresponding notch are snapped together.

FIG. 8C is a schematic view illustrating the application of the conventional clip with two through holes of the prior art; and
FIG. 8D is a schematic view illustrating the disassembly of the conventional clip with two through holes of the prior art from a plastic pipe by damaging the plastic pipe.
Referring to FIGS. 1, 3A and 3B, a clip of the first embodiment is shown. The clip has the first clamp member 10 and the second clamp member 20. The first clamp member 10 engages with the second clamp member 20 in order to clamp a plastic pipe. The first clamp member 10 has a transverse recess 11 on the inner portion and a longitudinal hole 13 on the outer portion to receive a fastening member such as a pin, a nail and a bolt. A snap fastener 12 is disposed on the transverse recess 11. The inner surface of the second clamp member 20 has an incurved shape to match the shape of the plastic pipe. The interior 200 of the second clamp member 20 receives a plastic pipe. A flange 21 which has a notch 22 thereon is disposed at one end edge of the second clamp member 20. The width of the flange 21 is the same as the width of the transverse recess 11. The shape of the notch 22 matches the shape of the snap fastener 12. The flange 21 is inserted in the transverse recess 11. The snap fastener 12 and the notch 22 are snapped together. Thus the first clamp member 10 and the second clamp member 20 are snapped together.
Referring to FIGS. 2, 5A and 5B, a clip of the second embodiment is shown. The clip has the second clamp member 20' and a pair of the first clamp members 10'.
The second clamp member 20' is disposed between two opposite first clamp members 10'. Each of the first clamp members 10' engages with the second clamp member 20' in order to clamp a plastic pipe. The first clamp member 10' has a transverse recess 11' on the inner portion and a longitudinal hole 13' on the outer portion to receive a fastening member such as a pin, a nail and a bolt. A snap fastener 12' is disposed on the transverse recess 11'. The bottom of the second clamp member 20' has a concave shape to match the shape of the plastic pipe. The interior 200' of the second clamp member 20' receives a plastic pipe. Two flanges 21' are disposed at two opposite end edges of the second clamp member 20', respectively. Each of the flanges 21' has a notch 22' thereon. The width of the flange 21' is the same as the width of the transverse recess 11'. The shape of the notch 22' matches the shape of the corresponding snap fastener 12'. Each of the flange 21' is inserted in the corresponding transverse recess 11'. The snap fastener 12' and the corresponding notch 22' are snapped together.
Thus each of the first clamp members 10' and the second clamp member 20' are snapped together.
Referring to FIGS. 4A, 4B, 4C and 4D, a clip of the third embodiment is shown. The first clamp member 10a, the second clamp member 20a, the longitudinal hole 13a and the interior 200a are similar to those of the first embodiment. The inner surface of the second clamp member 20a has an incurved shape to match the shape of the plastic pipe. The interior 200a of the second clamp member 20a receives a plastic pipe. A triangular snap fastener 12a is disposed on the transverse recess lia. A flange 21a which has a triangular notch 22a thereon is disposed at one end edge of the second clamp member 20a. The transverse recess ila has a corrugated edge lIla to match the ripply edge 222a of the flange 21a.
Referring to FIGS. 6A and 6B, a clip of the fourth embodiment is shown. The first clamp members 10'', the second clamp member 20'', the longitudinal holes 13'' and the interior 200'' are similar to those of the second embodiment. The interior 200'' of the second clamp member 20'' receives a plastic pipe. A triangular snap fastener 12'' is disposed on the transverse recess 11''. Two flanges 21'' are disposed at two opposite end edges of the second clamp member 20'', respectively. Each of the flanges 21'' has a notch 22'' thereon. The transverse recess 11'' has a corrugated edge 111'' to match the ripply edge 222'' of the flange 21''.
FIG. 7A is a schematic view illustrating the application of the clip of the first embodiment. FIG. 7B is a schematic view illustrating the disassembly of the clip of the first embodiment from a plastic pipe without damaging the plastic pipe. FIG. 7C is a schematic view illustrating the application of the clip of the second embodiment. FIG. 7D is a schematic view illustrating the disassembly of the clip of the second embodiment from a plastic pipe without damaging the plastic pipe.
