Abstract

1315952 Brackets; stair rod holders DOM HOLDINGS Ltd 27 Oct 1970 [9 Sept 1969] 44476/69 Headings A4B and A4U [Also in Division E2] A bracket e.g. for pipes, cables or stair-rods, comprises a first member 1 adapted to be fixetlly mounted, having a first retentive slideway, and a second member 5 having a complementary second slideway engageable with the first slideway, in which at the end of at least one of the slideways there is an abutment for limiting the extent of sliding and concealing the ends of the slideways adjacent the abutments, the second member having a free-ended lateral extension providing a hook-like channel, the channel and the slideway of the second member being parallel. The hook-like channel may be arcuate, polygonal or U-shaped. As shown, the channel has projections 7A which may be removed to accomodate different sizes of pipe or rod 8, The first member 1 may be screwed to a surface through a slot, which may be longitudinal or diagonal, formed in it. Both members may be of plastics, or, alternatively one or both may be of metal the two complementary slideways preferably have sloping interface surfaces, and are formed to have an interface fit. The second member may carry more than one extension.
