Spray carburettors.-A valve u controlling the supply of secondary air to the carburettor is controlled by a resilient connexion with the throttle valve and also by the engine suction acting through a by-pass connexion w<1> between the induction pipe and a space w above the valve, which is a sliding ring controlling an annular inlet v for secondary air around the main air-inlet conduit s. An arm u<1> on the valve u engages between springs i<3>, i' in a tubular extension of a rod k<2> connected to an arm k<3> on the spindle of the throttle valve x.
