Abstract
1509368 Valves LGZ LANDIS & GYR ZUG AG 13 Sept 1976 [19 Sept 1975] 37848/76 Heading F2V A valve 4 is operated by an A.C. driven pump 15 delivering to a working chamber 26 above a piston 27 which acts on a valve plate 5 via rods 11, 8; there being a control valve system 25 and a non-return valve 42 between first and working chambers 23, 26. As shown the pump piston is located by springs 19 and is oscillated by A.C. supply to a coil 20 to draw oil from a chamber 3 via bores 16 and deliver to chamber 26 via non return valve 42, valve (32) Fig. 2 (not shown) being closed by pressure acting on a control member (34). When the pump stops valve (32) will according to the free length of a spring (36) either (a) hold the pressure in the chamber 26 or (b) allow oil to flow back via passage (40). By application of a D.C. control of appropriate polarity to the pump coil 20, the valve (32) may be either (a) opened to allow oil to flow back or (b) held closed. An alternative control valve 54 may be used to give a pre-set leak back from the chamber 26.
