Brakes, arrangement and disposition of.-In a drum brake for motor-vehicles of the kind comprising a brake block D pivoted to an extension depending from the axle-box and connected by a link to a brake lever pivoted to the top of the axle-box, the brake-rod K and an adjustable link I are connected to the brake-lever G below its fulcrum F, and a release spring J is connected to the lever G above its fulcrum and to the pivot L connecting the link I to the brake-block.
