Abstract

148,355. Brissart, M. C. A. July 31, 1916, [Convention date]. Void [Published under Sect. 91 of the Act]. Walls.-Comprises an L-shaped building-block in which the vertical portion 1 is thicker than the horizontal portion 2 which is perforated at 3 for the circulation of air. The blocks may be strengthened by metal bars 5, 5a arranged as in Figs. 4 and 7, or by webs 6, Fig. 7, with or without metal bars. Fig. 8 shows a corner block. Fig. 11 shows a wall having the outer face formed of the vertical portions 1 of the blocks and the inner face formed of bricks 7. Fig. 12 shows an arrangement of the blocks and members 7 for a partition. The space between the inner and outer wall portions may be filled with inert material such as cork, straw, sawdust, &c. The blocks are provided with grooves 4 to receive binding-material with or without metal ties.
