Abstract
1481363 Photographic diffusion transfer silver halide material POLAROID CORP 25 July 1974 [27 July 1973] 32948/74 Addition to 1298082 Heading G2C A photographic material, suitable for use in a diffusion transfer process, comprises a photosensitive element comprising a support bearing at least one silver halide layer and in which there is, adjacent the surface furthest from the support of the silver halide layer or of the silver halide layer furthest from the support, a binder free, colourless layer of at least one optical filter agent precursor that is a pH sensitive dye that becomes coloured in alkaline processing composition and that is in non-crystalline solid form. The at least one silver halide layer is preferably associated with an image dye-providing substance. The material may be a permanent laminate containing an image-receiving layer and means providing a light-reflecting layer between the latter and silver halide layers. The processing composition may also contain an optical filter agent which is coloured at the pH of the composition and colourless at a lower pH.
