Abstract

1377903 Photo-graphic material FUJI PHOTO FILM CO Ltd 19 March 1973 [18 March 1972] 13092/73 Heading G2C A photographic material comprises a sheet of coloured oleophilic alkali-impermeable polymer, the surface portion of which has been rendered alkali-permeable and hydrophilic and contains nuclei for diffusion-transfer development, and a silver halide emulsion coated on the surface portion. The material is photo-graphically exposed and diffusion-transfer processed, the silver halide emulsion layer removed and the imaged alkali-permeable surface etch-bleached to give a planographic printing plate. In the Examples the sheets used consist of cellulose di-or tri-acetate or propyl cellulose diacetate containing triphenyl phosphate and dye, and the surface is rendered alkali-permeable by hydrolysis.
