1468558 Pipe couplings VEBE KVARNMASKINER AB 6 Dec 1974 [18 Feb 1974] 52790/74 Heading F2G A pipe coupling comprises a pair of ring members 6 and 7 placed around respective pipe ends 1, 2 adjacent a butt joint 3 formed therebetween, said ring members 6, 7 being connected by bolts and nuts 12 and having respective facing externally apexed axial extensions 8, 9 and an internally tapered ring clamp member 13 disposed radially outwardly of extensions 8, 9, its tapered surfaces abutting those of the extensions 8, 9 such that tightening of the bolts and nuts 12 draws ring members 4, 5 one toward the other, the respective tapered surfaces of ring members 4, 5 and the clamp member 13 coacting to force the ring members 6, 7 against the outer surface of the pipe ends 1, 2.
