1530749 Pipe couplings FIP FORMATURA INIEZIONE POLIMERI SpA 5 May 1977 18926/77 Heading F2G A joint 1 between pipes 11, 12 comprises a cylindrical body 2 into which the pipes are inserted, the body 2 having a bush 5 or 6 screwed thereon at each end, frusto-conical surfaces 7, 8 in the bushes engaging radially split wedgeshaped cross-section securing rings 9, 10 which have inner toothed surfaces and engage the outer surfaces of the pipes, the rings 9, 10 acting through annular rings 18, 19 to compress 0-ring seals against the pipes 11, 12 to form a seal therewith.
