Abstract

Kinematograph apparatus.-In kinematograph apparatus having a continuously-moving film and optical compensating means comprising two rotating rings of rhombic prisms, the rings comprise equal numbers of prisms and have parallel or coincident axes, and the prisms have their entrance and emergent faces perpendicular to the axes, and their radial faces contiguous. As shown in Fig. 2, the rings of prisms a<1>, b<1> have parallel axes one on each side of the axis of projection, and rotate between the film d and objective c. In a modification. Fig. 5, the prisms f<1>, g<1> are cemented to a glass plate h, and the projection beam, after passing through the prisms of one ring, is reflected through the other prisms by a stationary prism k. In a projector a pair of rings as described may be provided. both behind and in front of the film.
