Macadamized roads; segmental and block paving.-Relates to metal reinforcing mats for tarred macadam roads, and consists in the use of mats or matting a formed of metal strips set edgeways at a slight inclination to the vertical, and provided with diagonal crossties c. The mesh openings are alternately larger and smaller than each other. Adjacent mats are connected by S-hooks. Similar mats may be embodied in slabs of tarred macadam.
