[Class 20 (iv).] A non-skid mesh reinforcement for concrete, asphalt, and similar road surfaces consists of transverse straight flat metal strips or bars a and longitudinal zig-zag flat metal strips b, both sets being notched to cross and interlock, and the lower corners of the slots in the bars a are bent to form feet d. Similar feet e may also be formed on the edges of notches in the bars b. The mesh may be laid in situ or be prepared in sections, continuity of the bars being effected by interlocking the ends f. The pavement edges are finished with straight bars g.
