Abstract

1445024 Electrostatic image developing PHILIPS ELECTRONIC & ASSOCIATED INDUSTRIES Ltd 21 Oct 1974 [24 Oct 1973] 45378/74 Heading G2H A device for developing electrostatic charge images on a record carrier 1 comprises in a chamber, two transport rollers 10, 11 arranged to rotate oppositely, both with varying pitch helical blades 12 for mixing and transporting to the record carrier 1 a toner/carrier mixture. Further blades 13-16, 28, 29 are provided to assist flow. A motor 17 drives the rollers 10, 11 so that the mixture is transported to and fro in the axial direction of the rollers and so that roller 11 throws the mixture up against the record carrier 1. A shield prevents excess particles from dropping directly back.
