Abstract

1373666 Electrographic developing apparatus XEROX CORP 13 Dec 1971 [15 Dec 1970] 57755/71 Heading G2H A developer applicator comprises a conductive base 46, a dielectric layer 48 and separate conductive screens 50 which are engaged by a slip ring 62 so that, as the applicator rotates past a toner loading station (28), Fig.1 (not shown), a toner agglomerate removing station (30), a charging station (32), another agglomerate removing station (34), a developing station (C), and a cleaning station (40, 42), the potential applied to each screen 50 at any time is appropriate to the station adjacent that screen at that time. The applicator may be a cylinder or an endless belt having an aluminium base 46, enamel layer 48 and silver or copper screens 50.
