Abstract

1380102 Developing apparatus RICOH KK 11 Feb 1972 [13 Feb 1971] 6454/72 Heading G2A A device for developing exposed diazo type photo-sensitive sheets with a developer comprising particles 1 of ferromagnetic material moist with an alkaline developing liquid includes a developer vessel 2, a cylindrical member 3 and magnetic means 6 for producing a magnetic brush 7 of the developer on the outer surface of the member 3 such that a sheet fed along the guide-plate 8 is contacted with a moving brush of developer the cylindrical member and the magnetic means being arranged to be driven at different relative rotational speeds. The photo-sensitive sheet is fed in between rollers 9, passes through the developing zone, is stripped from the cylindrical member 3 by stripper blades 15a, and is cleaned of excess developer by passage between rollers 16 and 17 housing magnets 18 and 19. The magnets 6 are rotated on a shaft 4. Scrapers 20 and 21 are positioned to clean the rollers 16 and 17.
