Abstract

1436580 Stapling machines SOC FRANCAISE D'AGRAFAGE INDUSTRIEL 19 June 1973 [28 June 1972] 29045/73 Heading B4C A striker assembly for a hand-operated stapler comprises a striker plate 4 integral with a housing 5 for a spring 6, and means 7 for moving the striker plate to drive staples 2 into an article. As shown in Fig. 2, the striker plate 4 and housing 5 may be produced by bending a soft steel blank, one of the walls being provided with openings 8 for receiving catches of the loading lever 7. When the lever completes its movement, the housing is released from the catches and spring 6 relaxed to project the striker plate downwards. (For Figures see next column.)
