Abstract

1426036 Stapling machines; punching machines Y MITSUHASHI 28 Jan 1974 [26 Feb 1973] 03794/74 Headings B4C and B4B A stapler comprises a base 2 provided with an anvil 1 and to which is pivoted an open-top staple magazine 4 and a staple driving lever 6, and a staple feed element 3 urged towards the dispensing aperture 4a by a tension spring 20 doubled over at the end of the element remote from the staples 15. One end of the spring 20 is hooked into the front end of leaf-spring 28 secured in the lever while the opposite end is hooked into the front end 19 of the slidable feed element 3. A staple remover 25 is provided on the lever at the opposite end to the thumbpiece 30. Punching can be effected by use of a punch 17 when depressed by a thumbpiece 18 on the magazine 4 to engage the bore 9 of a die 8.
