Abstract

143,650. Ross, T., and Ross, G. March 5, 1919. Combing-machines. - In a cotton-combing machine in which the feed-mechanism is carried separately in each head, a pair of feed-rollers R. R<1> are employed carried, for simultaneous adjustment, in a swivel bracket D secured to the nipper frame F. The lower roller R<1> is rotated by a pawl and ratchet operated by a lever L connected to the nipper frame rocking- shaft C or some other suitable shaft, and arranged to give a greater arc of movement than that of the nipper frame.
