Abstract
440,918. Roller mills. ROBINSON & SON, Ltd., T., and ROBINSON, C. S., Railway Works, Rochdale, Lancashire. Dec. 29, 1934, No. 37245. [Class 59] A brush or scraper for cleaning the rolls of a roller mill comprises a bar b with bristles a, the ends of the bar being held in a stirrup c. The stirrup is bolted to a plate d by a screw and wing-nut o, the screw k also forming means to adjust the position of the brush relatively to the roller. The plate d forms part of a bracket pivoted on a journal f bolted to the mill frame. The bracket is maintained in its set position by a spring-pressed plunger and is turned about the journal f to remove the brush from the stirrup.
