Abstract

300,062. Hoffmann, F. Feb. 25, 1928. Rollers and roller heads. - The fluted bottom rollers in a cotton drawing-frame having four lines of rollers are cleaned by clearing- rollers 1, 2 mounted on springs 3, 4 between respective pairs of rollers I, II; III, IV. The springs 3, 4 are relatively adjustable at 5, and are adjustable relatively to the machine frame 10 by the members 6 - - 9, 11 - - 15. The inclined bearing face 17 of the weaker spring 4 allows self-adjustment of the rear clearer 2 on variation of the distances between the rollers.
