Combing-machines.-Means for simultaneously applying pressure to the upper nipper jaw and the feed roller comprises a pivoted arm 8, the upper end of which supports springs 12, 15 connected respectively to the nipper arm 1 and the feed-roller bracket 6. The arm 8 is supported by a projection 11<b> on a lever 11. When it is desired to relieve the pressure, the lever 11 is moved to allow the arm 8 to descend and relax the springs.
