143,402. Caterpillar Tractors, Ltd., (Holt Manufacturing Co.). June 4, .1919. Force-feed lubricating.-Forced lubrication is described in connexion with an endless-track tractor or motor-vehicle which is steered by driving the tracks or wheels on one side or the other through positive reduction gearing. A vertical section of the mechanism as applied to an endlesstrack vehicle is shown in Fig. 2. A vertical spindle 105 drives a geared oil pump, by means of which oil is drawn through a pipe 100 from the bottom of the gear-box and discharged through perforations in the upper part of a delivery pipe 99.
