Abstract

150,851. Guy, S. S. June 26, 1919. No Patent granted (Sealing fee not paid). Force-feed lubricating.-Lubricating oil is circulated around the chassis of a motor-vehicle to supply the various bearings, the surplus returning to a sump, which may be the engine crank casing. A pipe a is carried round the chassis in the channel section of the frame, and flexible or rigid pipes d communicate with the bearings, including those of the sub-frame e. A gear wheel pump h which may be that used for lubricating the engine, or on the same shaft as the engine pump, forces oil into the circuit by a pipe n, the surplus returning to the sump in a cooled condition by a pipe o. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 105,387.
