909,622. Motor vehicle hydraulic driving. gear. AUSTIN MOTOR CO. Ltd. Aug. 21, 1961 [July 28, 1960], No. 26228/60. Class 79(2). An engine 1, disposed transversely at one end of a motor vehicle, drives, direct from its flywheel 2, a variable-capacity hydrostatic pump 3 which motivates, through pipes 4 and 5, a hydrostatic motor 6 situated within the sump 7 of engine 1. Motor 6 drives, through a reduction gear 8, a differential gear assembly 9, which drives. through universally-jointed drive shafts 10 and 11, the road wheels 16 at that end of the vehicle at which engine 1 is located.
