14,843. Churchill, J. R. June 27. Motor - cars and the like. -- The motor is arranged externally to the frame 2, being carried by extensions of two cross-members 4. The motor may drive directly through the gearbox 5 and a chain 7. One or two belts may be used. In modifications, the motor transmits the drive to the gear-box through a chain. The motor and gear - box may be bolted to one another with a side member of the frame interposed. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifications 8306/96, 27,059/97, and 28,918/97.
