Abstract

142,565. Behr, A. Feb. 10, 1919. Bags.-A collapsible receptacle with a reinforced bottom consists of a square canvas or like bag 1, Figs. 1 and 2, provided with strengthening- battens 3, 5, 6, which are connected with one another only by the material of the bag. The battens may be arranged in loops of the fabric, or may be riveted to the outside of the bag. The bottom 12 is reinforced by a hinged frame comprising rods 9 connected by a rod 10. The receptacle has four closing-flaps 13 strengthened by battens 14 and provided with eyes 15 enabling the opposite pairs of flaps to be laced together. In a modification, the bottom 12, Figs. 7 and 8, is strengthened by diagonally-disposed rods 24, and the receptacle is closed by flaps 13, 27 and by a lid 28 reinforced by cross battens 29 and edge battens 31, 32.
