Abstract

1425613 De-watering belt press filter MASCHINENFABRIK ANDRITZ AG 30 May 1973 [7 July 1972] 25686/73 Heading B1D A web of material is de-watered by passage between two filter belts 11, 12 through a first pressing zone where the belts converge and are supported by rollers 1, 2 followed by a second pressing zone where the belts move sinusoidally around rollers 3, 4 whose diameters decrease in the direction of belt movement. As shown several rollers 3, 4 are provided, but in Fig. 2 (not shown) the second pressing zone comprises only two rollers (13, 14) round which the belts move in S fashion. Belt-driving rollers 5, 6 'have the largest diameters, and the dried web is discharged between them. Rollers 4, 7, 8 are adjustable in direction shown.
