Abstract

1425625 Travelling band press MASCHINENFABRIK ANDRITZ AG 13 Aug 1973 [28 Aug 1972] 38291/73 Heading BID A water extraction apparatus has two belt screens 15 and 16 between which a suspension (e.g. of fibres) is pressed, and in which the screens may be individually tensioned by devices 12 and the wedge angle of the converging screens is variable. The screens are supported by rollers 3 and 4 supported in frames 11 and 19, the upper frame is pivoted at 21 and angle "a" varied by tensioning device 13. A suspension container 17 delivers the feed which is progressively compressed between the converging screens and is further pressed as the screens pass round rollers 5 and 6.
