Circular-saw machines. - In circular-saw benches wherein the spindle c of the saw b and the overhung driving-pulley d are mounted in ball or roller bearings the outer race of one bearing i<1> is mounted within the boss and directly under the rim of the pulley, whereby the overhang of the pulley is reduced to a minimum without the aid of an outside bearing, and the inner race of the bearing i<1> is supported bv a hollow bracket h' through which the saw spindle passes, and the other bearing i is arranged beside the saw. The spindle and the bracket h<1> are carried by a bracket h secured in a pocket a<1> in the bench. A pulley or wheel d<1> secured to the inner face of the pulley d serves to drive the work-feeding gear. The loose pulley e is mounted upon a separate stud f and bracket a<2> to prevent it from rotating the saw spindle.
