Abstract

Circular-saw machines; band-saw machines.- Comprises a machine which is convertible from a band-saw machine, as shown in Fig. 1, to a circular-saw bench, as shown in Fig. 2. When arranged as a circular-saw machine, the band saw g is removed, the hinged band-saw guide-arm f is swung upwards, the lower band-saw pulley h is removed and replaced by a circular saw x, and the work table b is lowered by means of gearing c from the position shown in Fig. 1 to that shown in Fig. 2. Alternatively, the band-saw table may be separate from the circular-saw table and adapted to be removably placed thereon. The guide-arm f is formed of telescopic parts l, m, and is supported in either the operative or inoperative position by a stay p. The upper band-saw pulley e is provided with a prolonged hub to provide a large bearing-surface on its spindle.
