Circular-saw machines.-In transmission systems for driving machine-tools, such as circular saws, grindstones, and polishing-machines, the main machine shaft 7 is aligned with the driving- shaft of the motor 4 and carries secured thereto a fly wheel 5 engaged by a centrifugal clutch, which is preferably of the radially-moving segment type and is driven by the motor. In the sawing-machine shown, the parts mentioned, including the saw 6, are mounted on a table 3 supported on a sledge 1, the work being fed to the saw on a holder 10 secured on arms 8 hinged to the sledge. A saw guard 9 is provided.
