Ball bearings; covers.- A bearing for the revolving knife in meat-slicing and like machines is arranged on one side of the chainwheel 14 carrying the knife 2, and comprises a ballbearing 15, the outer ring of which is secured by a washer 16 in the knifecarrier 3. A disc ball-bearing 17 engages the washer 16, and is held thereon by a second washer 18 secured by screws to the chainwheel 14. A cover 19, enclosing the whole bearing is rigidly fixed to the carrier 3.
