Channels in ball or roller bearings.-Ball or roller bearings with separate inner and outer races are fed with oil under pressure by means of radial ducts c formed in either the inner or outer race ring, the ducts communicating with an annular groove b formed around the ring. Oil is supplied to the groove b through a duct a. The groove b is formed in the ring, but it may be formed in the housing or on the shaft.
