1413787 Valves BRAUKMANNARMATUREN AG 4 July 1974 [12 July 1973] 29650/74 Heading F2V A thermostat for an I.C. engine cooling system has at least two but preferably four equiangularly-spaced elastically flexible arms 5 on the closure disc 6 which arms are snapfitted into guide slots 4 in the housing 1. A spring 9 acts between the ends of the arms and a mounting flange 11 of the housing. The thermostatic element 15 is held in an apertured yoke 17 integral with the disc and the piston-rod 20 thereof abuts an adjusting screw 24 in the housing.
