Abstract

1493879 Valves JOHN POULTEN Ltd 3 March 1976 [6 March 1975] 9442/75 Heading F2V [Also in Division B1] A flow control valve comprises a burrette tube 1, a burrette jet 2, a seat member 6 and a closure member 11 held together by an elastic tube 5 which can be deformed by screwing part 4 on to part 3 of a housing 3, 4 surrounding the assembly so as to axially move the closure 11 on to the seat 16 of the seat member 6. Ribs 12 provide a flow path between the jet 2 and closure 11. The housing part 4 engages the tube 5 by a bearing washer 8. The valve may be made of plastics, the burrette tube and jet normally being of glass.
