Abstract

1,001,553. Valves. M. CLAUSEN, [trading as FIRMA DANFOSS VED. ING. M. CLAUSEN]. Feb. 20, 1962 [March 16, 1961], No. 6595/62. Heading F2V. A valve comprises a diaphragm 10, Fig. 1, which itself closes on a seating 4 or carries a closure portion 11. A resilient element 9 contacts the back of the diaphragm to bolster it during opening of the valve. The element 9 is formed with radial fingers 19, Fig. 3, having up-turned ends 20. The peripheral edges of the diaphragm and element are located in a groove 15 formed in the housing. The valve is actuated by a pilot valve 7 which controls an orifice 14. Orifices 10a allow flow from the inlet 2 to the back of the diaphragm. The valve 7 may be actuated electrically or manually.
