Abstract

1321149 Valves EDUARD AHLBORN AG 19 April 1971 [14 March 1970] 25557/71 Heading F2V A fluid control valve includes a valve member having an upper part 1 into which is screwed a pressure member 2 with a resilient packing ring 3 clamped between them so that the outer edge is bent over to make contact with a conical valve seat when the valve is in the closed position. The valve casing may be divided into two chambers (9, 10) (Fig. 1, not shown) with the upper chamber subjected to steam via an inlet 11a to prevent the admission of bacteria. Two such packing rings 3 may be clamped to form a three-way valve (Fig. 3, not shown).
