Abstract

1503533 Valves ALBANY HYDRONICS Ltd 19 Feb 1976 [21 Feb 1975] 7492/75 Heading F2V Flow through a valve (e.g. in central heating radiators) between an inlet 12 and outlet 13 is interruptable by a diaphragm 15 peripherally secured and provided with axial means 20 for moving the movable portion of the diaphragm against biasing means 23 to interrupt flow. As shown a spindle 20, shrunk into the diaphragm passes through an aperture in a plate 21 and carries a plate 24 and a spring 23. A stem 30 makes end contact with the spindle remote from the diaphragm and an adjusting cap 27. In Fig. 4 (not shown) an adjusting screw 41 is provided in lieu of the cap. In Figs. 2, 3 (not shown) a heat motor 35, sensitive to ambient temperature provides the adjustment.
