Abstract
1405163 Carpet and other sweepers LEIFHEIT INTERNATIONAL GUNTER LEIFHEIT GmbH 17 Nov 1972 [23 Nov 1971] 53292/72 Heading A4F In a sweeper, particularly for carpets, having a roller brush 15 and possibly auxiliary brushes 16 or a second roller brush driven by wheels 17, 18 respectively, wheel axles 21 are positioned in downwardly open mounts 23, 24 in a frame 14 and have a dust pan pivotally mounted on each thereof. The roller 15 is mounted in a spring- loaded support 32 in downwardly open frame guides 33, the mount and guide openings being closed by longitudinal components 26' which are attached to the frame 14 in a self holding manner. To effect self holding, the components 26' are provided at each end portion with a pair of locking arms 28 which engage behind a corresponding transverse web 30 of the frame 14, a tool being required to disengage the components 26 and frame 14 by insertion through holes 31. The roller 15 may be height adjustable.
