Abstract

The rotary brush (10) sweeper is mounted at the rear of a tractor (1) and can be lifted for transit by a jack (7, 8) operated folding parallelogram frame (3, 4 5, 6). The brush can oscillate vertically to follow surface irregularities, and can also pivot about a longitudinal axis (A) at a nominal inclination to the horizontal. The brush rotates rapidly within a housing (9) with a skip for dust collection. A current of air drives the dust into the skip, and the frame extends between vertical members fixed to the tractor (1) and the housing (9) respectively. One member (3) can oscillate on a vertical axle (2) and the other member (4) provides the inclined axis (a) about which the housing (9) pivots.
