Abstract

1399481 Colour photography EASTMAN KODAK CO 7 June 1972 [23 May 1972] 26631/72 Heading G2C Colour photographic material is treated during or after the colour development step with an aqueous solution containing a silver halide development restrainer and, as amplifier, a cobaltic complex. The solution may contain 0.2 g/l of organic development restrainer, e.g. benzotriazole, 2-40 g/l of inorganic development restrainer, e.g. potassium bromide, and 0.2-20 g/l of cobaltic complex. It may also contain a coupling accelerator. It may have a pH of 6-14 and preferably contains less than 3 g/l of developer. The latent silver image may optionally be developed before the treatment. The treatment may be followed by bleach-fix and wash treatments. Examples of cobaltic complexes and other materials are given.
