Abstract

139,835. Coleatti, C. July 11, 1918, Fire-bars.-Each main bar consists of a frame 1 supporting transverse bars 2 and slotted end pieces 6. The bars 2 are V-shaped in plan, the centres consisting of tapering parts inclined to the vertical and horizontal, with ridges and grooves 8 fitting together as shown; their ends 3 overlap the sides of the frame and space the frames apart. Beneath the ends' 3 are parts 4, the lower edges of which rest on ledges 12 on the inner parts of the sides of the frame 1; the parts 4 are overlapped by the parts 3 of the nest bar 2. The grouped bars form air spaces 2<1> resembling the air spaces 6<1> in the end pieces 6.
