Abstract

1391861 Radiant space heaters ENTREPRISE INDUSTRIELLE DE CHAUDRONNERIE 1 Jan 1973 [6 March 1972] 99/73 Heading F4W An infra-red radiant space heater comprises frusto-concial members 2, 7 which are joined together at their bases and define a combustion chamber 1, an oil or gas burner 17 supported by member 7, the member 2 defining a radiant surface and being corrigated, a part of each corrugation 3 being closed by a wall 4 to define a duct 21 for directing combustion gases from the chamber 1, the ducts 21 communicating with an annular header 5 having an outlet duct 10 to atmosphere. The member 7 has annular stiffening ribs 8 and is lined with non-rigid refractory material 9. A metal reflector 16 is provided above the member 7. A fan of the burner 17 is mounted on a door 18, whereby opening the door gives access to the combustion system within a combustion tube 22. A fuel pump 20 is coupled to the fan motor shaft.
