Abstract

V a l v e - discharge water-waste preventers. - A flushing-valve is provided with a differential piston movable in a valve box and having a valve member on the side of smaller area. An auxiliary valve is provided within and seating upon the main valve and is positively operated by hand to bring the main valve into operation. If the supply pressure is too low or the supply pipe is liable to get clogged, an air vessel 32, Fig. 6, may be provided on the supply pipe, in which a sufficient supply of water for a flushing operation may accumulate under the supply pressure, a quantity of air being trapped at the same pressure in the upper part of the vessel. The valve 33 is supplied from the vessel 32.
