Abstract

1387878 Take up; needle drive SINGER CO 12 June 1972 [26 Nov 1971] 27342/72 Heading DIG A sewing machine has a thread take up lever 10 provided with a thread eye 17 and threading slot 16 having an extrusion on the upper edge of the lever, a prominently raised thread sloughing apex 25 being provided together with thread sloughing edges 26 and 28 formed with minimum transverse radii of 0.02 ins. The needle driving block 19 slidable on the needle bar 20 is releasably engageable by a latch lever 23 with a collar 21 secured to the bar.
