1377655 Producing steel NIPPON KOKAN K K 22 Nov 1971 [21 Nov 1970] 54217/71 Heading C7A A process for manufacturing steels suitable for vitreous enamelling consists of (i) casting a steel consisting by weight of:- 0.03 to 0.15% carbon 0.10 to 0.50% manganese 0.005 to 0.06% sol. aluminium 0.01 to 0.10% titanium the balance being iron and impurities, e.g. P, S, N, O; slabbing and hot-rolling the cast ingots or billets; pickling and decarburizing to a carbon content less than 0.01%; cold-rolling and temperrolling. Alternatively, the decarburization can take place after the cold-rolling.
