Abstract
1376266 Steel sheet compositions NIPPON STEEL CORP 21 Dec 1972 [27 Dec 1971 11 Oct 1972] 59052/72 Heading C7A A cold-rolled steel sheet which possesses improved press-formability is comprised by weight, of:- less than 0À08% carbon 0À05 to 0À4% manganese 0À015 to 0À1% silicon 0À01 to 0À1% aluminium (acid-soluble) 0À003 to 0À015% nitrogen the balance being iron and impurities. The sheet is formed by hot-rolling an ingot or slab at temperatures preferably over 800 C, coiling, coldrolling, continuous annealing at 680-900‹C, and preferably overageing at 300 to 500‹C. A vacuum degassing treatment may have been incorporated in order to reduce the carbon content to within 0À001 to 0À009%.
